Stergios Kalpakis, Secretary of the Central Committee of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance
Stergios Kalpakis is 35 years old. He is a graduate of the Department of Primary Education of the University of Western Macedonia and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences with a specialization in Humanities and New Technologies. His research interests focus on the involvement of Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching of History and has published in international scientific journals. He has worked in the private sector.
He has been on the Left since his first political steps. He has served as Secretary of the Central Committee of the Democratic Left and then Deputy Spokesperson and Spokesperson of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance. He was elected to the Central Committee of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance in May 2022 and re-elected in June 2025. In July 2025, he was elected Secretary of the Central Committee of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance.
