Ms. Sandra Oudkirk is the Civilian Deputy and Foreign Policy Advisor to U.S. European Command. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service with over 30 years of experience, she recently served as Director of the American Institute in Taiwan from 2021-2024, managing the unofficial U.S. relationship with Taiwan to advance global prosperity and preserve peace in the Indo-Pacific. Ms. Oudkirk has held various roles in Washington and overseas, including in Beijing and Istanbul. A graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, she speaks Mandarin Chinese and Turkish.
