Marios Skiadas is a senior consultant with over 25 years of experience in the digital evolution of the public sector. He specializes in the design and public procurement processes for large-scale ICT initiatives and the modernization of administrative frameworks, focusing on aligning complex technological solutions with national and European policy goals. Since 2016, Marios has collaborated with Expertise France as a Key Expert, providing strategic technical assistance to the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance. In this role, he has been a driving force behind major EU-funded reforms under the Technical Support Instrument (TSI), including the formulation of the National roadmap for the digital decade 2030 and the development of the Greek Digital Competences Framework. Currently, he leads the technical coordination for a landmark project regarding the integration of AI Technologies in the Greek Public Administration. His mission is to support the establishment of a robust national AI governance model—incorporating ethical guidelines, regulatory compliance with the EU AI Act, and operational roadmaps—to ensure that the Greek public sector can adopt Artificial Intelligence in a transparent and sustainable manner. He has also participated in similar project of other organisations, including the Ministry of Interior and the Minstry for Climate Crisis and Civil protection Prior to his work with Expertise France, Marios held several relevant key positions, most notably as Director of IT and e-Government Projects at "Information Society S.A." where he oversaw a multi-million-euro project portfolio across the domains of healthcare, social security, civil protection and public finance. His career also encompasses extensive international experience in advising on National ICT Strategies and advancing the European Open Science Cloud initiative. Marios is recognized professional on the PM² Project Management methodology and a licensed Medical Physicist. He holds a degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering from University College London (UCL).
