Pakis Papademetriou is a Sustainability Executive with 25+ years of leadership across regulated sectors including aviation, banking and pharmaceuticals. He has received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also certified professional in Business Sustainability Management by the University of Cambridge (CISL). As of 2024, he has the position of Director ESG at Pharmathen, with primary responsibility for the development and deployment of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy. From 2021 to 2024, Pakis served as Head ESG at Eurobank, driving the embedding of ESG Principles & Culture, enabling the materialization of the ESG Community and contributing to the continuous improvement of Operational Impact. Prior to that, he served at Athens International Airport (AIA) for 22 years in the position of Manager, Corporate Quality & Sustainability. His career started with engineering positions in the aluminum industry and telecommunications. Pakis is a Board member in business associations, focusing on Sustainability, Compliance and Corporate Affairs. Since 2016, he is serving as Chair of the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR). Since 2025, he is Member of the Board of Director and founding member of the Corporate Affairs Professional Association (CAPA). He is the co-founder of the FoodCom Business Network, focusing on sustainability and compliance of the food industry in Greece. From 2022 – 2024, he served as Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA) Coordinating Committee for ESG, Corporate Governance and Green Banking and member of the HBA’s Executive Committee.
