Speaker Bio
Dr Nicholas A. Ioannides is an international law expert with a PhD in Public International Law (Bristol, 2017), LLM International Law (Bristol, 2012) and LLB (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 2010). He was a Nippon Fellow at ITLOS in Hamburg (2017–2018). He has taught public international law, international humanitarian law and EU law, advised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, and represented Cyprus at the International Court of Justice and EU Council bodies (COMAR, COJUR). He won best PhD thesis (2019) and academic article (2020) awards, authored two monographs, and chaired the Cyprus Bar Association’s International and European Law Committee.
