Speaker Bio

 Alexandros Benos is CFO of Cenergy Holdings, the energy arm of Viohalco, and a member of its Executive Committee, responsible for international business development.

Prior to joining Viohalco Group, he worked for 17 years at the National Bank of Greece in Risk Management, reaching the position of Chief Risk Officer for NBG Group.

He started his career as a Professor and MSc Director at the HEC School of Management in Paris, while he later joined the University of Piraeus as Assistant Professor. He also served as Visiting Professor at the Universities of Geneva and Beirut and ALBA Graduate Business School and has published numerous articles on risk management and international markets in refereed journals, edited volumes and the financial press.

Dr. Benos has a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University, a Diploma Degree from the University of Athens and a PhD in Finance from the GSB at Stanford.
