Speaker Bio

Alex Fotakidis is a Managing Partner at CVC and Head of Greece. He is based in Athens and responsible for all of CVC’s investment activities in Greece. Alex has been working at CVC for more than 20 years and previously spent 5 years at CIBC World Markets. He holds an MSc in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics and a BSc in Economics and Geography, both from University College London. CVC is a leading global private markets manager focused on private equity, secondaries, credit and infrastructure with a global network of 29 local offices and €205 billion of assets under management. CVC is one of the most active institutional investors in Greece, having deployed more than €1.5bn of equity since 2017 across multiple sectors including: Healthcare (Hellenic Healthcare Group), E-commerce (Skroutz), Food & Beverage (Vivartia), Transportation Infrastructure (D-Marin) and Energy Transition (Public Power Corporation).
