Speaker Bio

Anastasia Popova is the Vice President of the Khodorkovsky Foundation US, where she oversees strategic initiatives centered on U.S.-Russia relations and the advancement of democracy. She also leads U.S. operations for the New Eurasian Strategies Centre (NEST), a think tank focused on Russia and the broader Eurasian region. Before joining the Foundation, Ms. Popova worked in the private sector as a government relations executive in the high-tech industry. She also spent more than a decade as a political advisor, specializing in policy issues related to Russia and Ukraine. Prior to relocating to the United States in 2014, she served in the Russian Parliament (“State Duma”) as chief of staff to an opposition Member of Parliament and led several political campaigns for democratic opposition candidates in Russia
