Gastrade S.A. was established in 2010 in Athens with the mission of designing, developing and operating advanced natural gas infrastructure projects and is the first company in Greece to obtain a license for the operation of an Independent Natural Gas System, paving the way for new, competitive forms of access to the energy market. With a strategic focus on supply security, energy diversification and cross-border interconnectivity, Gastrade S.A. contributes to shaping a resilient and sustainable energy landscape in Greece and Southeastern Europe. The Company developed and, since October 2024, operates the Alexandroupolis Independent Natural Gas System, one of the region’s most significant energy infrastructure projects. Gastrade is also a key participant in the European Vertical Gas Corridor initiative, promoting the uninterrupted flow of natural gas from Greece to the markets of Southeastern and Central Europe. At the same time, the Company is developing the Thrace Independent Natural Gas System, a project that will further strengthen Greece’s role as a regional energy hub.
