Mr. Vilhelm Junnila is the Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee in the Parliament of Finland. He is currently serving a second four-year term and is also a member of the Intelligence Oversight Committee and a deputy member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
Junnila acts as a spokesperson on Foreign Affairs for the Finns party and belongs to the Board of Directors of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. He also presides as a Vice-Chairman of the Finnish delegation to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and has taken part in numerous International Election Observation missions. Previously Junnila served as a Minister of Economic Affairs and the Vice-Chairman of the Constitutional Committee. He is a substitute member of the European Parliament.
Prior to getting elected to the Parliament, Junnila spent eight years in an advisory role for MPs and a decade as a supervisor in process industry. He has also worked in technology industry and financial administration and studied financial management information systems at Turku University of Applied Sciences.
