Speaker Bio

Spyros Venetsianos, General Manager, is heading the Structured Finance Unit, within the Group Corporate & Investment Banking, division which entails the Hotels & Leisure Finance, Project Finance, Commercial Real Estate Finance, M&A Finance and Sponsor Solutions as well as NPL Portfolio Financing Solutions. He is part of credit committees and handles a portfolio of more than €7bio in performing exposures as well as few remaining NPLs. His teams act in all countries in which the Eurobank Group has a presence (i.e.Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus), whereas since 2023 lending activities have been expanded to other European countries and selective GCC jurisdictions. He joined Eurobank, from Bank of America, in 2004 to create the Project Finance team and remained the head of the department until late 2013. Spyros holds a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering from NTUA and an MBA from Imperial College, UoL.
