Speaker Bio

Dr. Elai Rettig is a lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Political Studies at Bar-Ilan University, and the head of the energy program at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies. He specializes in energy geopolitics, national security, and regional energy cooperation. He also teaches at the National Security College in Israel (MABAL) and has previously served as an energy security analyst at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel-Aviv, a senior fellow in the Maritime Policy & Strategy Research Center in Haifa, and as an adjunct lecturer in the Environmental Studies Program at Washington University in St Louis.
