Dámaso Cebrián is the Global Tech Lead for Commercial Banking at Banco Santander, where he leads the technology function for the wholesale banking division. With more than 20 years at Grupo Santander, he has held senior leadership roles across both technology and business, including Group CTO and CIO for Corporate & Investment Banking, driving large-scale global transformation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he led the global Supply Chain Finance business within Trade Finance and later headed IT and Operations at Santander Securities Services, where he oversaw the creation of specialized post-trade entities. He began his career as an entrepreneur, founding his own consulting firm, and has since built a track record of combining technological expertise with business leadership. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an MBA from IESE, and lives in Madrid with his wife and two children.
