Speaker Bio

Tilemachos D. Georgakis, born in Athens in 1971. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MBA in Business Administration from Cardiff Business School, University of Wales. He began his professional journey in Corporate and Commercial Banking at Laiki Bank in 1998, accumulating over 25 years of industry experience. Since joining Alpha Bank in 2005, he has held several key leadership roles: Director of the Corporate Banking Division as of 2013, Director of the Business Centers Division in November 2014, and, from September 2017, Director of the Commercial Banking Senior Division where he managed both Business Centers and the Hospitality Division. As of January 1, 2024, Mr. Georgakis serves as Chief of Commercial Banking. In addition, he has been a member of the Boards of Directors for ABC Factors and Alpha Leasing since 2015, and was appointed Chair of Alpha Leasing’s Board in 2021.
