Speaker Bio

Professor Christos Tarantilis is a distinguished executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in academia, government, and the consulting industry, specializing in optimization and artificial intelligence, innovation development, business transformation and strategic planning. As the Government and Public Sector Leader at EY in Greece, Christos plays a pivotal role in navigating funding, across all Service Lines, understanding and identifying market needs, designing and introducing innovative products and services. Alongside his executive role, he serves as a Management Science and Technology Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), where he has received over thirty teaching awards for his exceptional instruction across various academic levels. Recognized as one of the world's top 2% most influential scientists in operations research from 2020 to 2024, Prof. Tarantilis has also served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament, contributing to committees focused on research, technology and innovation. His leadership extends to roles such as Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Hellenic Parliament’s Committee on Research and Technology. Additionally, he has been a board member of Information Society SA, further showcasing his commitment to advancing technology in Greek public administration.
