Speaker Bio

George Mathios is the the managing director (CEO) and vice president of ESA’s board of directors since 2019. He has wide experience of company management, having served as CEO of DIGEA S.A. and board member of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP). He has also worked as a high-level executive for HSBC Bank Plc, the Coca-Cola Company, Multichoice Hellas, and Procter & Gamble. He holds a PhD from Athens University of Economics and Business and an MBA from Manchester Business School. Also, he is a mechanical engineer, holding an MSc from the University of Manchester and an MSc from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in marine engineering and shipping.
