Dimitra Daskalaki studied Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Athens. She has almost 30 years of experience in the field of Communications, having held important roles in big Greek and multinational companies. Since 2016, she has been part of the METRO SA team responsible for the company’s Corporate Affairs, Government Affairs, Crisis Management, Media Relations, and Corporate Responsibility. In June 2020, she took over the General Directorate of Organizational Development & Communication, putting HR and Corporate Affairs under a common structure. The challenge was to highlight the human-centered philosophy of the company - through respect, meritocracy, and transparency - and to focus on the growth and development of employees throughout Greece. Today, METRO SA employs 11.300 people and is one of the largest employers in the country.
