Christos Staikouras

He was elected MP in Fthiotida with Nea Demokratia on the elections of 2007, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2023.  In June 2012, he was appointed Alternate Minister of Finance, a position he held until January 2015.
In July 2019, he was appointed as Minister of Finance, a position he held until May 2023.
In June 2023 he was appointed Μinister of Infrastructure and Transport, a position
he held until March 2025.
He is a Professor in Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, an MBA from the University of London (Imperial College) and a PhD in Banking and Finance from City University of London.
