Speaker Bio

Svitlana Kovalchuk is the current Executive Director of YES (Yalta European Strategy). For the last eight years she has been actively involved in the international projects of YES and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, which promote Ukraine on the international stage and discuss the most important topics on the world agenda in Ukraine, including the YES Annual Meeting, Ukrainian events at the World Economic Forum in Davos and at the Munich Security Сonference. She previously worked on projects at GIZ (German Corporation for International Cooperation) in Ukraine in the field of strengthening the institutional capacity of state and local authorities of Ukraine in the implementation of special projects of the German government. A graduate of Kyiv Institute of International Relations, she holds PhD on military-political unions. A graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government (Leadership course), she is also the author of many publications in the media on foreign policy.
